The Tomb or the Waking giant.

This week we were using an image as a story starter. Check out my tuhituhi.

            -The Tomb-

Dan had been digging all morning. Along with his team of fellow archaeologists, countless tons and dirt and sand had been removed. At first the mechanical diggers had done their bit, to be followed by spades and shovels. Now, as the team neared their prize, their tools became trowels and delicate brushes.

Hours of sweat and toil in the blistering heat had brought little reward as yet, but things were about to change. Dan stood in front of what he hoped would be the most significant discovery of his career so far, and gently began to untie the knot that had sealed the door for thousands of years…

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They had a heap of tools to cut open the rope holding the door together. Dan had gotten so angry he yelled and a tun of rocks came down from the top of the sharp baldur's sitting on the ground up above Dan and his team. Dan took a big breath and started to grab the garden cutters on the ground. He approached the tall stone door standing tall and wide, Dan put the cutters on the rope and began to cut…”It won't budge, it's wasting are time”. After 10 minutes of hard work they came up from the hole and had a cup of tea. Well, talking away about other stuff well Dan was just sitting in his car and watching the sun set. As the sun went down there was no sound to be heard, the team had fallen asleep in the back of their cars that they set up before starting work. In the morning the door was shut tight and the team had gotten up before Dan got up. They started the day with a cup of tea and some fruit they found in the old bag sitting by the wheel that they used to sit on. One by one the team all went down to the door. They started to dig deeper to hope that they could make a hole to go into. Near the afternoon  they had dug a hole deep for then to start digging forward to get in. they dag and dag until they went for a water break but Dan wasn't happy with the work.”DIG FASTER YOUR NOT DOING IT RIGHT” said Dan.

“PUT WATER ON THE DEART TO MAKE IT SOFTER” yelled Dan even more. Dan watched and watched until the sun went down. Once the workers came up from the hole one of the workers stayed down longer and claimed to see an opening in the hole they had diggen. Around midnight the man had found a way in and was the first to enter…”WOW!”...said the man but he thought what if he didn't say what he had found. A scepter and a safier was sitting by a crown ready to be put in. The worker walked up to the person put in the gem and put it on his head and the scepter...AHHHHHHHH....
