Market day.

Kia ora! Welcome back to my blog.

Yesterday on Wednesday we had somthing called market day. All of the school was split up into their own teams. Each team made a difftent product to sell around the school. If you were to buy somthing the money was changed into tickets to spend. The money people raised went towards EOTC day.

My group was me, Shyne, Susie and Sophie.

Our product was painted rocks. 1 rock each was $1.50 and a coustom was $2.00.

We made all diffrent types of rocks and sold out near the end of the day.

At some point we dident really work well but we pulled ourself together and worked better during the last copule days. All together we made $16.50.

I think somthing we can do better on is next time move our table to a better spot where people went the most that day...

Thank you for reading my blog. Please follow for more.

Manu Tukutuku.

       Manu Tukutuku

            By Mikaylah and Katene

-----------------------------

Kia ora welcome back to another blog post!

Today we are going to be talking about Manu Tukutuku

------------------------------

Mikaylah: This week we are celebrating Matariki in Aotearoa (New Zealand).

A Manu Tukutuku is a traditional Maori kite kids flew during Matariki. It was also used during war or battles. Maori would through the kites into the air to see where a war is or where it was going to happen

----------------------------------

What we used to make are Manu Tukutuku.

we used....
-1x pipe cleaner

-1m string

-3x sticks

-2x paper

-1m raffia ribbon

and feathers.

------------------------------------

Katene: First we used the paper to make a triangle shape. Then on one peace of paper we put the 3 sticks on the paper tapeing it down. Next we put the other peace of paper on top making sure the sticks were on the inside tapeing the paper together. The raffia ribbon into peaces and folded them into half's. We stuck the string onto the inside and then put the raffia ribbon onto the stick. Then I cut a peace of paper and colored it in black so I could rap the ribbon around it. Next Mikaylah added the finishing touches and added the feathers and pipe cleaner on the back and front.

----------------------------------------

Here is a picture...

And that's how we made are Manu Tukutuku.

The best invention.

Kia ora welcome back to another blog post. Today I have been working on Which invention do you think has had the greatest impact on society in the past 100 years? Here is what I came up with.

Which invention do you think has had the greatest impact on society in the past 100 years? How/why? In my opinion I think cars have made the best and worst impact at the same time. With cars It helped with transportation which means less walking around the place but also it caused a huge problem with climate change around the world. But when it comes to what cars can do it changed the whole world, with people customising cars and making other types of cars...such as Racing cars, drifting cars and many other more cars. But with cars comes a lot of laws and rules...Did you know that the first speeding ticket was issued in 1902. Also the first radio to be put in a car was in 1929.

Up standers and By standers.

 Kia ora!

Welcome back to another blog post. Today I am going to be talking about Up standers and By standers.

-------------------------

First let's start with Up standers. These type of people are strong and brave. It takes a lot of braveness to go get the teacher even if you don't want to. Up standers are the people you want to be, they do the right thing.

What Up standers do...

-Help out

-Get the teacher

-comfort the victim

-Stay with them

-Stay calm

---------------------------

By standers are the people you don't want to be. When there is a fight By standers watch and maybe even laugh, but dont want to get involved and leave it for somebody else to tell the teacher. They are bad influences to others.

What By standers do...

-Maybe laugh

-Watch

-dosent do anything

-Pretend nothing's wrong

-Ignores the right thing to do

--------------------------------

Here is a picture to show what a Up stander is....

Can you see the people in the background not doing anything?

Spring free trampoline.

The spring free trampoline was invented by Keith Alexander, a New Zealand inventor. The spring free trampoline is a trampoline with no springs. This invention was released to the public in 2003.

So far they have sold 25,000 trampolines last year making up to $16 million a year in New Zealand.

It is NZ's world safest trampoline with rubber tubes to lower the risk of getting hurt on the trampoline. The sides are made out of  a flexible fabric so you can bounce off it without going through.

Resilience.

Kia ora Today I am going to be answering questions about Resilience.

If you want to read the article did about resilience click here.

Questions
1.What is resilience to you? To me it means to try, be confident in your self and to not give up even if things are hard.
2. what skills do you need to show to be resilient? Be the person who dosent give up and keeps going through hard things.
3. Think of a time when a challenge came along. How would you deal with it differently this time? When I was made trusted trekker at my school I had a lot of tasks to do. Sometimes I dident want to do them because I thought it was to hard so I just gave up.

Wevideo-counting the beat/Mikaylah & Shyne

 Kia ora!

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I am going to be showing you my video I made in counting the beat.

Me and Shyne worked together  to make a peace of music to go with a video. there were 4 videos to choose from, me and Shyne picked one of the bird videos for our film. For my video I chose to make the mood of the video happy and them running around.

-----

-What we used-

We used sound trap to make music by con binding different sounds together to make one. The length of the music had to be the same length of the video so it was in sink when it ended.

Here is my video
