this week we had a visitor come and tell us the story of Kupe and the Wheke.
He showed us how to make a digital flip book. a flip book is a book with drawings of things.
When you have done drawing your pictures you put them in order and flip the pages fast one by one.
We made on on those but in a digital way. are hole class room made it and we all loved it. It was so fun and cool to make a digital flip book.

Myth Mud Caves

This week we have been learning how to create a piece of writing using a picture to help us. First we had a class brainstorm on what the picture was about, then we brainstormed some adjectives. Finally we started our writing.I am sharing it with you, please leave a comment.Thanks!

               Myth Mud Caves

Hello my name is Sapphire. I'm an alf and I am friends with another alf named Willow. Willow is going to bring her friend Butterfly-butterscotch I live in the gem cort. It's a place where all gems and friends can come or stay. I like to eat clouds it's the close thing to candy floss on gem cort. The gem bait Leeds anywhere so we are going to use that as are way there. Any way me and my friend  Willow are going on a trip to a place named Myth Mud Caves. We want to find out what's there and what it looks like lets go and take a look. I hope you like the story we have put together for you to read. lets go.

One day me and my friend Willow and her friend Butterfly-Butterscotch went to a place named Myth Mud Caves. We wanted to no what was on the land. We used the gem bait to get to Myth Mud Caves. But the thing is we don't no if the gem bait has the Myth Mud Caves. We need to go find out if its in the gem bait so we can go to the  Myth Mud Caves. YAY we found the Myth Mud Caves on the gem bait finely we can go and take a look.Wow we have finally made it to Myth Mud Caves. “It's so extraordinary and it’s like a peace of art” said Willow. “It looks like something from the forest where me Willow and live” said Butterfly-Butterscotch . “It’s so beautiful do you think” said Sapphire.”Let's take a look around” Willow said. So off they went. After 1 hour we found the gem bait dust scattered on the floor behind us. Willow didn't tell me that she had the gem bait dust. I Sapphire said “who has the gem bait dust” “I do” said Willow with one tear in her eye as her eyelashes fluttered with puppy eyes looking into my eyes. “Oh Willow it’s fine no need to cry” said Sapphire.  A few minutes later They found a swamp and tried to fly over but were never to be seen again. They put missing posters everywhere but no one had heard of them for weeks and years.

The lost teddy One day a girl named Emma was walking to the park. It was a cold day but still she went to the park with teddy. The teddy’s name was Ted, he was wearing a red bow tie, and he was a white teddy. She was almost at the park but oh no Emma dropped Ted. she didn't even notice that she dropped Ted. after she played at the park she was making her way back to her house she went past Ted. she had arrived to her house. It was bedtime so she got in bed and fell right to sleep. The next day she had realized that she lost Ted. she ask her mum if she new were her mum was, she asked her Dad, asked her sister, and asked her brother. So she went to the park and she was looking sad a down. She was walking and walking and walking. And she looked down and she saw Ted. she was so happy and yald. TED I MISSED YOU SO MUCH.

            The legend

One day there was a war everyone was fighting and was mad. But one of the gods had come out to make the war an all man for themselves. So they were very aggressive with each other. They were in teams and had to fight the other team. The teams were fighting each other but only one could win. At last one team is the winner. They went back to their hut to have a nap because it was very dark that night. And to this very day there are statues that were made for them for us to remember.

This year my buddy and I made some art and it was very  hard it took a long time. I think it took 5 weeks to do it and we had a buddy to work with and have fun together. Our logo said The Digestive and fun foods, we need a logo very very fast so my buddy and I had a good time and I think I said that two times already. On the 28-8-18 Our Maori teacher Christine at the start of the thing she said to us like 22 of us to pick a system in the body to try to make and my buddy and I made it. My buddy and I picked the digestive system. It was very fun to make but it was very funny because we had lots of fits over the hot glue gun. That's all I have to say bye guys.

The best thing about winter is that you can make snow angels outside.

The worst thing about winter is it is cold.

The best thing about winter or is you can drink hot chocolate and the worst thing is you can’t go outside when it gets too cold.

What I can do in winter is to play in the snow and have fun.

What I can’t do in winter is I can't go outside when it hails.
