My great great Koro

Hello and welcome back to another blog. tomorrow is Anzac day and I have a little photo of my koro who served in world war 2.

My koro's name is Private Karauria Claude Onekawa. Koro was born 3 of jan 1921 and passad on the 4 of sep 1990. He is buried in the Veterans section of the newstead cemetery in Hamilton.

He is the reason we go to the Anzac parade each year.

  4. Kia ora Mikaylah.Thank you for sharing your koro's story.It's important that we all share what knowledge we know,about our war veterans,to keep their memories alive.
    On Anzac Day,I got up early and stood at the gate with my family.We lit 3 candles and listened to The Last Post on the phone.
