Welcome back to my blog.

Today I am going to be showing you my video I made in counting the beat.

Me and Shyne worked together  to make a peace of music to go with a video. there were 4 videos to choose from, me and Shyne picked one of the bird videos for our film. For my video I chose to make the mood of the video happy and them running around.

-What we used-

We used sound trap to make music by con binding different sounds together to make one. The length of the music had to be the same length of the video so it was in sink when it ended.

PE-Learning touch.

Kia ora, my name is Mikaylah! Today I will be telling you about what I have been learning in touch. 

I have been learning how to...

Play the game touch, kick and catch. 

as a team, we learnt how to run around cones.

Other then that we all had fun running around in PE and having fun learning how to play touch.

-Pizza slice-

-Pizza slice-

I will be showing you a recipe of how to make quick and easy pizza slice. 

this is something I made in cooking class. it is a great snake to make at home in 20 minutes/more.

ingredients -preparation

Preheat the oven at 180º-fanbake 

-Pizza bread/ you can get premade pizza bread for $5 at the supermarket,cut into 4.

 capsicum- Wash and cut into fine strips then dice.

Red onion- Cut into strips and dice.

Tomato-cut into small cubes and get as much juice out as you can.

Cheese-grate cheese.

Ham/salami-cut into squires.

Pizza sauce, Get ready to put it on your pizza 

All of this food is up to you. You can add what ever you want to your pizza.

-Put together-

Get your pizza bread and put on your pizza sauce, leave a gap near the top- that will be the crust.

Put on all your toppings, make sure to put on your meat second to last and cheese on top. 

put into the oven and wait for about 10min to 20min.

then enjoy your pizza.

Instruments-Counting the beat.

        Kia ora, my name is Mikaylah. Welcome to my first blog post at Hornby High School.

During the last few weeks my class has been  doing something called- Counting the beat -where we learn about different instruments.

We have been listening to different types of music, like...

- Choir

-Kapahaka/haka 

-Top 20 radio songs

-Stomp music

-Top dancing music 

-Orchestra 

-Looping

And meany more...

-Beats- 

Another thing we focused on was beats. A video we watched to show a demonstration was the cup song. The cup song uses cups to make a beat. Not just cups are in the song, also different beats in the background of the song like...A piano guitar and a little bit of drums if you listen closely.

-Instruments we played-

So far we have tried to play the Ucalele and the recorder  

   

I tried to play the recorder- I learnt to play -Merry had a little lamb- The recorder was really hard to play. It made funny noises when you played to hard, and it went out of tune when you took your finger of the back hole. Other then that I did really good learning the song. 

I was in a team with Mea and Azire.

 Today Im on to artical  2 of the kiwi kids read off compaction. Today I did the artical about the saber tooth skeleton the roamed the earth 12,000 years ago.

Ramadan and Eid

 Kia ora welcome back to another blog post of mine. today Im going to tell you about Ramadan and Eid. before the sun comes up in the morning they make a big meal to eat before going to pray. when the sun sets they have a big  meal before for the morning to get ready to pray the next day. here is the drawing me and Kaley made. make sure to look at Kaley's blog to see more facts we did together.

Kiwi Kids News Read off

 Today for panui pukapuka we have we have been focusing on locating and summarizing information. It is a competition to see how many articles we can complete. Here is my first article.

Fun run

 Yesterday my hole school had a amazing day at the fun run the teachers and school put on. we started a movement to raise money for Kids Can in HPS. Each student had to make a wed sight using the Kids Can app to raise money. we raised over $9000 of money for kids can. On Wednesday the 18th we got dressed up and did a fun run around the Kyle park field and went through a little cores. at the end of the day all of the kids were splashed in water and everybody had fun. 

The office of the children's commissioner.

 On Monday the 9th is when the office of the children's commissioner came to Hornby primary. Room 10 & 8 did a pepeha and waiata for them. On Tuesday we went with some people to do some fun games. They told my class about bully's and ask us a way to stop them. They came all the way from Wellington to see the top 5 healthy schools. The people we meet are named Peter, Te Ara, Mereana and Erin. We did some waiata and karakia to end off the day. My favorite part of the day was when we played noughts and crosses. We had some Subway for lunch and a cookie for a small desert.
