My rat trap.
Hello and welcome to another blog post. Today I have some cool pictures of me and my buddy Mikaere making a rat trap.
What we used: Rope, Tape, Newspaper, Cardboard and Clay.
Here are some pictures.
This first photo is what we based are trap on and we made kind of the same but added some new things. The trap was called Rua Torea. We used the Clay as the meat for the rat to eat. We didn't really finish the trap but all the people that saw the trap still liked it. The rat uses his claws to climb up and grab the meat. When It reaches the top it gets sliced in half with a blade and falls into the top where the rat is keeped for the maori people to get.
Thank you for looking at my trap that I made with Mikaere. Please comment like and follow for more blog posts. Have a nice day and stay safe. Bye!

Train tracks mistry.
Story starter.
It had been many years since the shrill shriek of a steam train puffing along the track had been heard in these parts. The Northern Railroad had been discontinued after the great disaster on June 11th, 1911. Ever since that day, the Railroad company had been nothing but a distant memory, a story to be told around the campfire late into the night. As the group sat around their newly constructed camp, listening to the crackle of the flames as they licked up into the night, their minds wandered back to the stories they had heard from their fathers. So absorbed were they in the moment, and the mesmerizing glow of the fire, that it was hard to tell if the shrill shriek coming from the distance was part of their imaginations…
Characters-Kids: Liam age 9, Amelia age 8, Sharlotte age 11, Tai age 9 and Violet age 8. Main characters: William La Ques-made the train track age 109-past away, and Hope-camp leader age 23. Creator-Mikaylah Iri.
At a young age in the 1890s William La Ques wanted to make a track that never ended out of wood for a train. At the age of 21 in 1911 he made his dream come true and gathered a bunch of men to build a track and the first ever train. This train was the first steam train and wasn't like a normal one. The real first train was built in 1804 but they were trains that were run by coal and fire. This steam train was run with power and steam that would push the wheels faster than a normal train,”This train will be faster than any other train” said William. He wished with all his heart for this train to work and didn't give up even if it failed. With wood and nails, Thick rope and pillars One by one the train and tracks were ready to take off. William was sacrificed and gave his men a week to chill out and come back for the test, but when the week was over William was never seen since and fell off the tracks well looking down...in 2012 the train tracks and the train that was never lifted onto the track was all clean and tested. The train track went well but the train broke down. Not much happened and all that hard work of cleaning was not worth it. In 2020 (now) A new camping site was made but had no name. They had a test done to see if the camp was safe for all to stay in and did a City Council vote for the new name. After voting and technical difficulties with the voting process the new name was made. Camp was safe for all viewers and the new name was relasted, the name was (Wield boot camp). On the 20th of march 2020 The first group of kids went to the camp site with their camp leader Hope. Hope was a very nice lady and loved to camp when she was younger. Hope's father was a camp leader so she got to go with her dad all the time. All of the kids were so happy to be there as a group one by one the kids said their names happily to Hope. Liam, Amelia, Sharlotte, Tai and Violet.”Is that all that's fine you all have lovely names” Hope said. After some midnight snacks and some scary stories night came around and they played a night time classic, Never have I ever. Hope picked some people to start off the game and when It was Violet's turn she picked Liam. “Never have you ever stranded on the top of the old train track. Liam was so scared,”I-I never have” Liam said.”why don't you do it now then you can say you have” Violet said with a grin on her face,”that doesn't sound like a good thing to do” said Hope.”oh well I just go to my tent and read a book” said Violet as she walked away into the bright red tent. During midnight there was a sound *howling* “AH” yelled Charlotte. Sharlotte was breathing really loudly. Hope walked into the tent to see if everything was ok. Hope looked down to Charlotte to see a big scratch on her leg and arm. Blood was everywhere running down the blanket.”I-I SAW A GHOST!”. Hope was sceptical,”what do you mean?”...”A GHOST I SAW ONE HE WAS TALL AND SCARY AND!”...”take a breath” said Hope. Charlotte went to sleep after telling hope what she said but Hope was still sceptical. The next morning Hope got up early to make some pumpkin soup and bread for breakfast. Well she was getting the bread from the food and medical tent she saw a tall man standing by the old long railtrack waving. He didn't want to hurt anybody. The tall man was pointing at the tracks and the broken down train tracks. “He wanted the train to be fixed” thot Hope. After breakfast she gathered the kids to make the train and clean off the tracks. Liam was in charge of cleaning the rails but Liam was afraid of falling. Charlotte didn't like to clean; she does it all the time back at home. She was incharge of making the train look shiny. Tai was incharge of getting the train fixet he loved steam trains, they were his favorite. Amelia and Violet were in charge of getting the inside of the train.”Yay! I love my job but yuck Spiders” said Violet. A week went by and the train was almost done. Violet wasn't done; she was so scared of a jumping spider she ran out of the train and fell into a pile of mud. Everybody had finished the job and helped out with the inside of the train and Liam had learnt that he wasn't afraid of the train track. When the inside of the train and the train tracks were done the train was ready for a test. Liam asked “Where does the train track end?” Hope answered “you will never know”.

Kia ora and welcome back to another blog post. Today I am going to be showing you the yummy bread we made with room 7.
I hope you like the bread it took a long time to make but it was worth it.
Here are some pictures.
For the white bread We used flour yest water and salt and for the Rewana bread we used flour yeast salt and brown sugar. after we made the Rewana and white bread we put jam and butter on top of the rewana bread. We did some taste tests for the breads to see what one is the best tasting. I liked the Rewana bread because it tastes like banana brean. Both breads tasted so good.
